Go to /bookings, open the booking you want to cancel, and choose Cancel. What happens next depends on where the booking is in its lifecycle.
Before the owner confirms
A request is not yet a reservation -- no dates are held and no cancellation terms apply. You can withdraw it freely, at no cost, and the owner can decline it just as freely.
After the owner confirms
The owner's cancellation tiers now apply, and the refund percentage depends on how many days remain before your trip starts. Every boat has its own terms, set by its owner -- you can always see the exact tiers for your booking on the boat's listing page or in your checkout summary, since they're frozen to what you were shown when you booked.
The security deposit is never part of a refund. It's paid to the owner on the spot and returned by them -- Charter Meister never handles it, so it isn't money we could refund.
If the owner cancels instead
You're refunded in full, regardless of the listing's cancellation terms -- those terms exist to protect an owner from a guest cancelling, not the other way around.
See the full cancellation policy for how refund tiers work in detail.
